below are the canons that the staff have deemed vital to the plot line. please, if the face says 'non-negotiable', it really is non-negotiable. we are fairly open minded here at cod but these certain faces we feel fit the character best. that being said, if the face is 'negotiable', please ask away and there will be a high chance it can be changed. more faces will be added as we go along. also, if you choose make an original or another canon with any of the faces i have suggested that are non-negotiable, i will ask you to choose someone else. thank you!

ulfric stormcloak.

sean bean non-negotiable nord. early fourties. jarl of windhelm. leader of the stormcloak rebelion. taken by beth.

he aims to make skyrim independent from the empire. according to the imperial general tullius, ulfric assassinated the high king of skyrim with the thu'um in an effort to ignite an uprising against the empire's rule over skyrim. however, according to ulfric, he challenged him to one-on-one combat in the old nord way, only using the thu'um to put him on the ground, then killing him with his sword. ulfric gained the ability to use the voice by training with the greybeards, as he says "any nord can learn the way of the voice by studying with the greybeards, given enough ambition and dedication."

prior to the rebellion, according to various sources, ulfric had formerly fought for the imperial legion during the great war between the thalmor and the empire; it was said that he was a prisoner of war, captured and interrogated by the thalmor ambassador elenwen, until he was allowed to escape. sometime after the great war had ended, ulfric also was said to have been a veteran of a war between the nords and the forsworn. according to many inhabitants of the reach, when the forsworn had began a massive uprising of their own against the nordic population, during and shortly after the great war, ulfric was one of the prominent commanders of the nords, as he had decimated the forsworn presence in markarth with his thu'um.

galmar stone-fist.

galmar stone-fist is a fierce, veteran nord warrior who is the housecarl of ulfric stormcloak and the general of the stormcloak uprising. in his younger years, galmar fought for the imperial legion at the frontlines of the great war, along with rebellion leader ulfric stormcloak and rikke, the latter now a legate in the legion and the right hand of galmar and ulfric's archenemy, general tullius.

despite his efforts during the great war, things changed when emperor titus mede ii surrendered to the aldmeri dominion and the worship of talos was banned in skyrim, galmar began to look down on both the empire and the thalmor with white-hot hatred.

elenwen served as ulfric's interrogator and torturer.

being an easily-seen figure of skyrim, elenwen buries her coldness underneath a rather elegant and, dare it be said, warm air. undoubtedly, she has been well-trained in etiquette and that training pays off considerably when she's throwing one of her parties or working to make a light snip back at a verbal opponent. a close watcher can perceive the slight signs of dishonesty evident in her manner, but her attractiveness and grace has fooled many, even those of her own race. she has all necessary to make herself seem as a rather cordial ambassador, though again, she always seems to have that knife hidden in her hand.

balgruuf the greater.

chris hemsworth non-negotiable nord. thirties. jarl of whiterun.

while he is loyal to the empire, he puts his people's interests first, many times denying the imperial legion to garrison soldiers in his city so as not to portray martial law — if the asked what side he is on in the war, he will say that he is "on the side of whiterun".

he is against the stormcloak rebellion. he is generally more interested in dragons than the civil war to which he is involved. according to his trusted advisors, he still worships talos and hates the thalmor as much as ulfric and the other nords do, if not more.

irileth.

milla jovovitch negotiable dunmer. age unknown. balgruuf the greater's housecarl.

although it is highly uncommon for a dunmer to serve as housecarl in skyrim, irileth and balgruuf fought in many battles together when they were younger. when balgruuf was named as jarl of whiterun, she demanded that she be his housecarl, on account of their long-forged battle-bond. as a rule, irileth appears to be highly distrustful of the many and finds to be fairly protective of her jarl - moreso than most.

vilkas & farkas.

vilkas: is a nord resident of whiterun, skyrim who is also a werewolf. he is a member of the companions, and is also a member of the circle, the secret order within the companions. as with all companions, he is usually found within jorrvaskr, located within the wind district of whiterun. vilkas is said to have the smarts of ysgramor and can be quite guarded and cold, but it is for good reason.

farkas: farkas is a nord resident of whiterun, as well as a werewolf and a member of the circle, which is a group made up of the most formidable warriors (and, unbeknownst to the rest of whiterun, werewolves) in the companions. like the rest of the companions, he lives in jorrvaskr, in the wind district of whiterun.

farkas is very close to his twin brother, vilkas, and is known for being the stronger of the two. farkas is kindhearted and usually follows along with his brother's views in most situations. he also tends to be kinder in his dealings with others. vilkas tends to joke about farkas being the more dim-witted of the two, a fairly honest assessment.

elisif the fair.

she is the widow of high king torygg, and rumors abound that she may take the reins of power in skyrim herself. elisif does not believe the time is quite right yet to formally declare her intentions, but does believe that becoming high queen of skyrim is her rightful place. she has misgivings about entrusting the war effort to general tullius, but doesn't see any other option. she is popular amongst her people, although some of her supporters have concerns about her age and inexperience. because of her inexperience, she can be quite overzealous in her desire to protect her people, with little regard for public resources.

brynjolf.

brynjolf is a cunning, sly fox, hailing from riften. he's street smart and a brilliant manipulator, but surprisingly honest to those in his guild and those who he is fond of. he lacks leadership skills, but is generally a good friend to have on your side. brynjolf is a man who keeps himself locked away and everyone seems to prefer him in that 'mysterious' manner. he's unafraid though, to tell you if he thinks you've done a good job. he's quite apologetic at times, depending on the situation.

mercer frey.

liam neeson negotiable breton. late fourties. leader of thieves guild.

like any good thief, mercer frey is both charming and persuasive. in fact, with the charisma to make a suicide mission seem like the easiest heist ever and the charm to weasel his way out of any trouble he might land up in, he's one of the best. something he's well aware of, and has been ever since joining the guild. of course, there's more to it than simple charm and charisma. while he can charm his way into countless women's beds and out of countless jail sentences with flattery and facts, his best work comes in the form of dishonesty. naturally deceptive, frey has told more lies in his life than he can count, and he's become good at it. so good, in fact, that he's spun an entire web of lies and tricked his closest allies and "friends" within the thieves guild for the past two decades without raising more than an eyebrow.

maven black-briar.

angelina jolie non-negotiable nord. early fourties. owner of the black briar meadery.

is the matriarch of the black-briar family, and unofficially controls most of riften. she has strong ties with both the thieves guild and the dark brotherhood. maven seems to like strong-minded people and will complain about brynjolf recruiting people with no back bone into the thieves guild. maven makes no secret of her ties to the thieves guild and dark brotherhood, and often says she will call on the dark brotherhood to kill anyone who crosses her. these threats rarely ever go unheeded and on more than once occasion people have wound up dead.

delphine.

lucy lawless negotiable nord. late fourties. leader of the blades.

delphine is one of the last remaining members of the blades, an ancient organization serving as sworn protectors of the septim emperors, but replaced by the penitus oculatus after the events of the great war. the blades were then forced to disband after the signing of a truce called the white-gold concordat. delphine maintains the guise of the riverwood village innkeeper at the sleeping giant inn in an effort to avoid the thalmor who have been hunting down the remaining survivors of the blades for thirty years. during this time, delphine has been searching for a purpose as a blade, and has recently been trying to unravel the mystery of the return of the dragons.

aela the huntress.

rhona mitra negotiable nord. late twenties or early thirties. member of the companions. werewolf. taken.

is a nord werewolf and a member of the circle. her mother was a companion. and her mother's mother. and all the women in mher family, back to hrotti blackblade. she stayed with mher father in the woods until she was old enough for her trial. they hunted everything there was to hunt... good training. her mother didn't live long enough to see her join, but she fights to honor her and all her shield-sisters through time.

general tullius

stephen dillane non-negotiable imperial. late fourties. general of the imperial legion.

tullius states that he was born in cyrodiil, and that his presence in skyrim is justified by the emperor's directive to quell the civil war. he is known to be opposed to the white-gold concordat, and to hate the thalmor due to their elimination of the worship of talos, something he has in common with his nemesis, ulfric stormcloak. tullius often makes derogatory and ignorant remarks about the nords and their traditions.

astrid.

brooklyn decker negotiable nord. late thirties. leader of the dark brotherhood. open.

astrid is the leader of the dark brotherhood sanctuary of falkreath, skyrim. married to arnbjorn, a fellow dark brotherhood assassin, she holds the responsibility of finding new recruits in the night mother's absence. astrid decrees her unbeatable dictatorship, comparable and stronger than even the the five tenets. she tires of the laws and restrictions that limit the brotherhood, deciding that a sort of family-like unity benefits the members of the brotherhood better than structure.

delvin mallory

jason statham negotiable breton. late thirties. member of the thieves guild.

delvin mallory is a breton thief and an important member of the thieves guild in riften. he is always found in the ragged flagon, located inside the ratway. like other patrons of the bar, he does not sleep. he is also an old friend of astrid, the leader of the dark brotherhood. delvin's outfit consists of a set of guild master's armor, which includes matching pairs of gloves and boots. he also carries a leveled dagger (up to elven quality), a leveled poison, and a small amount of gold.
